We have some advice for you about storage of Boyteks fabrics for a longer period of time without problem. You can use your fabrics for a long time in a healthy way if the following rules are followed.
- The storage area should not have direct sunlight
- There should be used chargeable tools instead of the devices spreading exhaust gas.
- The warehouse should regularly be ventilated and the air quality should be checked (the warehouse should definitely not contain NOx (various nitrogen oxides) gases.)
- The humidity level of the storage area should be under permanent control and should not contain it in the high level (the suggested relative humidity level is 40% and below)
- There should not be used phenol and BHT (butylhydroxytoluene) containing packaging materials in the storage area.
- There should not be used slat and resiny timber in the storage area because these materials contain high level of phenol.
- The fabrics should not be stowed in a way which would cause physical damage (especially the woven fabrics should not be stowed one on the top of the other and crosswise).
- The packaging materials should be given a good care during storage.
- In case of long term storage plan, Boyteks should be requested extra finishing on the fabric which would help prevent mould, fungi, bacteria and etc.
- During storage our microcapsule technology fabrics may maintain their features upto 4 years provided that
- they are not changed for place,
- they are not overlapped with other materials, and
- they are not deformed.
- In short, if they are kept stable.
